Community Initiative to Transform Lives

Transforming Lives Together for a Self-Sustaining Community.

A registered CBO in Isingiro Town Council. Health, land, livelihoods, and a safe space in Nakivale. This is not the Hope Foundation School — that is the sister station on the same Uganda campus.

Programmes

Four areas of work in Isingiro.

Health & rights

Maternal health, HIV/TB/malaria, mental health and SRHR — especially for adolescent girls and young women.

Environment & energy

Waste management, tree nurseries, habitat restoration, and low-emission household energy.

Livelihoods

Enterprises, skills and financial literacy for youth, women and farmers in Isingiro.

Water & hygiene

Clean water, affordable sanitation, and school health programmes.

Recovery capital

What CITRAL is creating.

Community projects — nurseries, wetlands, a consortium, school re-entry. Capture the next one on the Uganda hub. No client names. No health details.

Physical · Community

Tree nursery

200,000+ seedlings. SPGS-certified. Restoration that also feeds household income.

Segregation, a town-council committee, and trained labourers recycling in Isingiro.

Bamboo for wetlands

Run for Green. 65 hectares around Lake Nakivale. Bamboo trained in China, practised here.

Nakivale consortium

Five CBOs. SGBV and SRHR campaigns. A safe space for refugee youth.

Human · Cultural

School re-entry

100+ teenage mothers linked to skills. District rules adjusted so a young mother can return.

HIV, TB, hepatitis B and cancer screening, with dialogues on malaria and reproductive rights.
